Ingredients
  • 2 Filet Mignon steaks (6 oz each, about 1.5 inches thick)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Coarse Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp Coarsely Cracked Black Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
  • 1 clove Garlic, smashed
Instructions
  • Take the steaks out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Pat them very dry with paper towels.
  • Rub each steak with olive oil and season generously on all sides with coarse sea salt, cracked black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  • Place the steaks in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 6 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes for medium-rare (130°F internal temperature). Adjust time by 1 to 2 minutes for your preferred doneness.
  • While the steaks rest, melt butter in a small saucepan with thyme and smashed garlic for 2 minutes over medium heat. Spoon the herb butter over the steaks.
  • Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving. This is essential for a juicy result.
