2Filet Mignon steaks (6 oz each, about 1.5 inches thick)
1tbspOlive Oil
1tspCoarse Sea Salt
1tspCoarsely Cracked Black Pepper
1/2tspGarlic Powder
2tbspButter
2sprigsFresh Thyme
1cloveGarlic, smashed
Instructions
Take the steaks out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Pat them very dry with paper towels.
Rub each steak with olive oil and season generously on all sides with coarse sea salt, cracked black pepper, and garlic powder.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the steaks in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 6 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes for medium-rare (130°F internal temperature). Adjust time by 1 to 2 minutes for your preferred doneness.
While the steaks rest, melt butter in a small saucepan with thyme and smashed garlic for 2 minutes over medium heat. Spoon the herb butter over the steaks.
