Ingredients

  • 2 halibut fillets (6 oz Each, About 1 Inch Thick)
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Finely Minced
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Dill, Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, Chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Lemon Wedges, for Serving

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, lemon zest, dill, and parsley until well combined. This herb butter is what will keep the halibut incredibly moist and flavorful as it cooks.
  • Pat the halibut fillets thoroughly dry with paper towels. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Place the halibut fillets in the basket, skin side down if applicable, leaving space between them.
  • Spread half of the herb butter evenly over the top of each fillet, pressing it gently so it stays in place. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 135 degrees F.
  • Carefully remove the fillets from the air fryer using a thin spatula. Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges squeezed over the top. The garlic herb butter creates a rich, golden layer on the surface that pairs beautifully with the mild, flaky halibut.
