Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 7 minutes
Total Time: 12 minutes
Servings: 4 servings
Ingredients
  • 4 medium Ripe Bananas (firm-ripe, not overly soft)
  • 1 tbsp Coconut Oil, melted
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Vanilla Ice Cream, for serving
  • 1 drizzle Honey, for topping
  • Chopped Toasted Pecans, optional for topping
Instructions
  • Peel the bananas and slice each one in half lengthwise. The bananas should be ripe but still firm enough to hold their shape during cooking.
  • Brush the cut sides of each banana half lightly with melted coconut oil. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bananas.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F. Place the banana halves in the air fryer basket cut-side up in a single layer. You may need to work in batches.
  • Air fry at 380 degrees F for 5 to 7 minutes, until the bananas are golden and caramelized on the outside and soft and warm throughout. Do not flip them.
  • Carefully remove the bananas using a spatula. Serve immediately over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with honey and topped with chopped toasted pecans if desired. The caramelized brown sugar creates a beautiful toffee-like crust.
